Blazers Winning Without Oden

By neekoboi

Everyone thought at the start of the season that the Portland Trailblazers would get another lottery pick at the 2008 Draft because of Greg Oden’s season long injury. However, the Blazers are now showing the rest of the NBA that they can play without Oden. Oden’s injury just showed the NBA world that the Blazers have a competitive line-up. Just think of this, if the Blazers wound up in the playoffs, they would still feel like having a lottery pick next draft. Why? Because they’re having Greg Oden next year.

The Blazers are now 11-12, one game away from a .500 mark (which they might get in a few minutes, they lead the Nuggets right now 97-80 in the 4th) which experts didn’t think they would even be close to. But Nate McMillan’s boys just showed the rest of the league that Portland is team to watch out for. They are currently on a six game winning streak, and if they continue this roll, we might just see them contending for the title in June.
